CCYM Plan
Mission statement
To connect and empower youth at local, district and conference levels to fulfill their calling as
committed disciples of Jesus Christ and leaders in ministry to all they serve.
Strategies
Conduct youth led events to embrace and develop local church youth leaders through CCYM led events
throughout the year. This includes both leadership and spiritual.
SMART goals
Plan/promote/do the fall rally.
Plan/promote/do a winter retreat for CCYM youth.
Administer Youth Service Fund in accordance with the UMC Discipline.
Plan/promote/do the annual Bishop’s Rally (alternating with West MI) at Adrian College in 2012.
Plan/promote/do CYA at Lake louise in summer of 2012.
Fill available youth slots for CCYM at Conference and encourage local churches and districts to send
youth to conference.
Plan/promote/do a gathering for youth lay speakers with dates and location to be determined .
Interlink with conference spring mission day.
